Sorry, didn't get to ask but would you mind sending instructions on how to do this? I would be so grateful! [email protected] or just pm me! Thanks so much!
I amire people who do all this sculpting! Wonderful job............keep up the ggod work. I hear ya on the two year old have twin dd that will be two on the19th. Also can you p.m me the instructions to.
So: I made a 3 inch deep, 8 inch round cake. Added a payer of filling, covered in buttercream. Set aside. I then, made Marshmallow Fondant, colored it various colors. I then started making all the little goodies out of the MMF. The slates on the sides of the washtub I just did not mix the browns all the way so it looks marbeled. I then rolled out the MMF and then measured all the slates and then slapped them all on the cake! So the bubbles: they are just buttercream with a medium sized round tip.
Of course there are tons of bubbles! So I let the bubbles sit for a few mintues and then you can either get your fingers damp with water and pat the tops down to make more of a ball, or sometimes I used a small piece of smooth paper towel to pat them down too. I sprinkle some white Wilton brand dust on top of the bubbles too. I forgot to mention the tiles on the cake board. I covered the cake board in a plastic table cloth and then I rolled out MMF and measured out the tiles and cut away and then just laid
them on top of the table cloth covered cake board (plywood). I think that is it guys :) Thanks for your interest... I was thinking that all these comments are a great moral booster! Every feeling down in the dumps, just post a cake and let others respond! ahahha... This for me is a great reason to comment on others amazing work too :)
I know posting my instructions as comments is not normal, but thought it would be easier than emailing too many people. Have ?'s email me, I am no expert, just fumbling through my hobby! Blessings, DRURYS :D
