This is my first tiered cake and my first wedding cake. White cake with Wilton's whipped icing, navy blue satin ribbon with silver beads. The flowers are silk.

Thanks for your comments - it's nice to get feedback. No real trick to the dots. I just do a few along the bottom of the tier and then work my way back up, filling in as I go around the cake. This seems to keep the dots spaced evenly and level all the way around the cake.

I used a small rubber squeegee to get the cake as smooth as I could. I have a hard time with the putty knife method.
