This is the cake I made for wedding cake category the local show, a bit of a rush job and a few things went wrong including petals breaking at the last minute.
First I made the centres a tiny piece of gumpaste on a wire, then wired the stamens (bought but I coloured then) to it then using the mexican hat method I cut the flower using a quick rose cutter (all petals in one) then thinned & veined the petals and pushed the centres in the middle.Once dried I dusted them with a little pink.
