Wow - your cake is just beautiful and so much attention to detail. Love the moon - is it suspended by wire?

The moon is from the Lemax Spooky Town collection (I bought it at Micheals for 90% off after Halloween. I knew I would use it for something one day. It is on a telescoping pole and the battery pack (yes it lights up) is hidden under the gum paste flowers.

For the bottom leaves I rolled out white gum paste then cut it out using an ivy leaf cutter then made the indentions (veins) with my ball and veining tool. Colored them with bright gold, Aztec Gold and Green yellow Luster dust.

this is amazing!!! I absolutely love it! I babysit for a little girl who LOVES Cinderella - if you have a chance, would you mind PMing me with some info on how you made it? Especially carving out the sides like that and what you used to make the carriage? A great work of art! Any Cinderella fan would be ecstatic!

hello and what a beautiful cake. I pm'ed you but hadn't heard back from you yet. Would you mind emailing me directly on how you made the layers? I was wondering if you di a 2 layer cake and just carved out the top and part of the bottom layer to make the cobblestone "hill". Any guidance would be greatly appreciated for I would like to reproduce this cake (to some degree) for a client this coming Saturday. I hope you'll see this and respond soon. Thank you. specialty
