This cake was made for an Indian bride. Cake was designed after the wedding invitations. They had vines with leaves and the scalloped edges, therefore incorporated them into the design. The paisley topper was to follow through on the use of it in bridal mehndi designs. Piped designs in royal icing and painted with Aztec Gold luster dust. Paisley made out of gumpaste.

Yes..the topper was handmade with gumpaste. Used a clay gun and then shaped. The tieres were 6, 8, 10 & 12".

this is gorgeous!!! I envy how you get brides who want something truly creative and unique...i usually get, "I want a simple white cake". Anyway, just amazing...love it!!

Well actually, this bride was also thinking white cake with roses...but that is where we as cake artists can make recommendations. She told me that she wanted the cake to be a showstopper, so this is what I suggested. They will very likely go with your recommendation since you're the expert ;-)
