Great cake! Did you make the chocolate butter cream from scratch? whenever I have tried to make it from scratch, it just looks tan...how did you get it so dark?
I think the lighting of the photo makes the butter cream look darker than it really was. I used the "class butter cream" recipe from my Wilton Course I book, and I added the cocoa as directed to make it chocolate. The borders were made using that recipe, but the rest of the cake was frosted using leftover white icing added to the chocolate to make it lighter.
