Ryan's Guitar
This cake was made for a fine young man as a graduation gift. He owns one himself, so figured it would be nice for him to take a bite out of it. Cake was carved out of a double 9x13 pan, neck was made with styroboard, and painted with liquid gel colors mixed with lemon extract. All decorations made of fondant, strings were angel hair pasta. Thanks to shenniger and edencakes for their feedback and work.
Wow! Absolutely perfect. I hope I have a chance to make one of these.
Awesome!!
Speechless. This is awesome!
This is amazing. wow, wow, wow
Such detail. I'm sure he loved this cake. Two thumbs up with a twist!
It turned out great. I am glad the pasta worked for you.
W O W !!!! thought it was real at first!!!! great job!
Um... is there anything you can't make?? This is outstanding (as usual of course)!!!!!how did you get the neck to stay there without falling? Amazing, simply amazing!
I had tu use a 3" pillar under it and covered it in chocolate fondant. For extra support though I inserted toothpicks at the base of the neck and the body. Thanks!
It looks awesome - I absolutely love the wood grain effect. Well done!
I have to make one of these for this Saturday. How did you do the coloring and woodgrain effect? Did you color the fondant? Airbrush? Thanks for any help! [email protected]
