Duke Birthday Cake
This is my very first cake that I made from scratch, not a mix. The cake is a Butter Cake, and the icing is Buttercream with almond flavor. I also used the VIVA method for the first time and a decorating tip for the first time. I used a 9 x 13 pan, cut it in half and stacked it, and two small loaf pans that I cut the "D" shape out of. Let me know what you think, and give me any tips you can think of. Thanks!
Lots of firsts on this one, you should be so proud!!!! Things will get easier as you do them more often, such as piping and smoothing. I think that you did an amazing job for never having used a tip or viva method before. Great job!!!!
