In community album: 2006 Wedding Cake Contest

The bride informed me the wedding was at 7:30. I get there at 5:30 to give myself 2 hours to set up, only to be met by a FRANTIC dad who told me "NO, everything STARTS at 5:30. Don't ya know I was in a MAJOR PANIC!!! I didn't have near the time to fix it with all the calla lillies i'd brought. I was just so disappointed with how it turned out.

She was the sweetest bride in the world to work with. She loved it and said she couldn't see anything wrong with it. But I SURE COULD.

As always, we are too hard on ourselves. If she was happy, that is what counts!!! You should be proud and not beating yourself up. The cake is gorgeous!!!

Thank you so much. It just wasn't what I visioned. Time just wouldn't permit me to do more. I know next time to ask for an invitation, this way I'll know for sure the right time.
