1St Communion Bible Cake
Just a different angle. Couldn't decide which picture I liked best. :-) This was made for a friend's son's 1st Communion celebration. My first time making a book cake. Inspiration for the design came from 3 cakes in the galleries (1 each by dky, franjmc and junescakes). A special thank you to dky and franjmc for answering my questions, you were both a great help! Cake made using the larger Wilton book pan. Covered in Satin Ice. Pretty happy for my first attempt, but hope to try one again soon to improve.

you did a super job, I like the corners on the pages, thats real cute, how did you do that. Excellent cake.
Thank you ! I have to give credit for the upturned pages to franjmc, I got the idea from her. All I did was roll the corners up a bit. I had to reshape them once or twice, but they stayed pretty easily.
