Before I left with this cake, it was the most perfect, straight, smooth, beautiful buttercream cake I'd ever done. The top two layers slid and partially collapsed on the (short!) drive to the wedding reception. I performed repairs as best I could, but it still looks a little crooked and part of it was smooshed. The "topper" Monogram the bride provided did not have a pick or anything to help it stay on the cake, so I had to prop it up with the roses and flower picks. Yikes.
