First Paid Cake For A Friend ....
1/4 sheet cake with wilton mini balls for golf balls. my first paid cake, due tomorrow, and not sure if I should take any money for it! Didn't turn out quite like I wanted, but do they ever? shell border on top kept collapsing down the sides - had to redo it. any comments would be appreciated - should i take the money?
I think you dida very nice job. The only comment on your borders is maybe set them more on top of the cake, that way they won't fall off the edge, especially with heat issues in summertime. Otherwise, I think it's very cute and certainly you should be paid for your hard work!!
thanks cindy - i did take the money for it and i guess he loved it, so that's all that matters. i know i need to move my borders in - i have the idea stuck in my head that it needs to be right on the edge, but that got me in trouble this time! the cake i did for my daughter i used rosettes on the top border and didn't have any problems. maybe that's my solution!! thanks for your input!
