Butterflies And Sugar Flowers

Butterflies And Sugar Flowers on Cake Central

The cake was covered in fondant. All the flowers were GP. The butterflies were wafer paper templates from Sugarcraft that you cut out, spead with piping gel, spinkled with edible glitter and let dry. Then finished with a royal icing body. I put mine on wires imbedded in the royal icing. The top flowers are fresh. They only problem was the wedding was outdoors, it was very humid, and the butterflies curled in the humidity.

your cake is beautiful--what kind of flower is that going around the cake--the white ones that drap down. How did you make them?

This is a look that I have always soo loved! You did a fabulous job here. I'll save it and try and get a closer look at your detail. The petal pan looks great in with the rounds. Adds just that right amount of contrast to be so elegant. Love it love it love it!

I like how you stuck a different shaped cake in the midst of the rounds...very attractive!! Love the decorations!! Excellent job!!

This is just gorgeous! I know you did it a year ago, but still it's worth leaving you a comment about it -- just beautiful work!
