Watercolor Daisies For A New-Age Bride

This was my first real wedding cake, patterned after a Margaret Braun cake from the book Cake Walk. The reception was held in at night and there was a spotlight shining on the cake making the luster dust sparkle. I got lots of compliments on the cake. Some people couldn't believe it was edible!

How in the world did you do the scalloped edges on that cake? That is amazing! And your first real wedding cake? WOW!

Thanks for the good comments. Yes, it is hand-carved - I used a pattern and toothpicks to measure out equal spaces. I carved in between the spaces to make the scalloped edges. It was easier than I thought it was going to be!
