This is just awesome, you are very talented! How did you do your animals?
Price 4/27/07 at 10:38pm
Thanks! The animals on the sides of the cake are fondant plaques. Monkey on top was modeled.

very nice...how did you do the animals.

Lovely cake! Did you use images on the fondant plaques?
Price 4/21/08 at 6:29pm
Yes, I printed the edible images, then cut them out and placed them on a piece of fondant that had been rolled out and allowed to set for a few minutes. Then I cut the fondant around images with an exacto knife.

critique member: again...I love your board! the paper I mean, I might have picked a different ribbon. there are some minor imperfections in your bc...mainly the top. I know that the grass tip is kind of hard to use...but your grass looks a little long. your monkey on top is adorable and your fondant plaques are really cool! How do you do these? very nice design, again! You have an eye for composition. Nice work!

Critique Subgroup member: This is so cute! the monkey on top is so adorable! And the frame - is it a cookie? It appears as though the top of the BC is kind of wavy. Your fondant plaques are terrific! I would've liked to see the background in a blue so that the clouds would stand out better. Cute cake!!

Critique Subgroup member: very cute cake- wonderful work on the placement of the animals and a perfect plaque. I see a little wave in the bc but other than that it is terrific!

Critique subgroup member: Now that I'm not on a laptop, I see that the cake is a light green - sorry about that! It looked white on my laptop!

Critique subgroup member: Your designs are so fun! You definitely have a very child-like type of cake illustration compositions that really work! The whole composition is adorable. A couple of things, looks like the height on the trees and giraffe were after thoughts make the difference bigger or more to keep the height not coming into play on your composition. The BC has some oops. Although the cake board ribbon colors match the design does not. However the top of the cake board is awesome for the design.

Critique Subgroup Member: Really, really cute. The monkey and sign are cute. I looked at your gallery and your shoe cake is really cute. Love the figures on it and like them better than the edible images. But this is adorable!

Critique group member: Once again it lookes fabulous! I love all the animals and the top of the cake board. My only sugestion is to get rid of the ribbon because it does not coordinate very well.
