This was a last minute order last night. Since we're in Carolina territory, I couldn't pass it up. Wish I could have spent more time on the cup part, had trouble getting the fondant smooth underneath.

OMG this is exactly what I was searching for. Could you please share thesizes of each layer and what your top layer is? Also, did you pant it with something to get the silver sheen? Thanks... great job on this cake! smwoodburn@comcast.net

I tried to make a stanley cup cake a few months ago. My "cup" fell apart, though, under the weight of the fondant. I ended up having to cover the ball mold half with fondant and putting it on top of the cake tiers. They all liked it, but I was disappointed. My cake wasn't dense enough. I plan on trying it again, though. Yours looks great!

This is exactly what I want to make how did you get the color of the fondant? Also what sizes of cakes did you use? Thanks

fosterchic, if I remember correctly I used three 9" layers, with a 6" and then a 5". The top cake is the half ball pan. Good luck!

Thank you. I can't wait. It is for my friends 40th bday party. He is a huge hockey fan from canada. He will love it!
