This one is from 3 years ago. I saw it in my sister's Wilton book and fell in love with it. It was really my first decorative cake and I had so much fun. The cakes were choc, yellow, and marble with bc icing. The feet were candies and cookies for her name.
Very Cute. You did a great job!
so adorable... did you use a bowl for the cakes?
very cute, you just gave me an idea for my daughter's 1st b-day cake
Can you also tell me how you did the individual letters? Did you use toothpicks?
They were iced sugar cookies and I used thick toothpicks (icing on the back of the cookie and let dry) to hold them in place
I did use the ball pan for the cakes. Thanks for the comments
So cute! What did you use to make the individual sections of the caterpillar?
I used the "ball" pan from Wilton, I think it might have been the soccer ball pan.
Sooo cute, I'm going to do this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Is bc icing Betty Crocker icing?? About how long from start to finish did it take you to do this?
It was the buttercream icing recipe from Wilton. This was my very first "different" cake so it took me about 8 hours total over 2 days.
