I got this idea from a clip art design. I also teach 7th grade when I'm not making cakes. Two of my classes brought in over 200 items each to donate to the local animal rescue shelters. In appreciation and because I had been begged to make a cake, I did so for each class. One cat cake and one dog cake. I think they turned out okay. The kids didn't really care what they looked like, but they oohed and awed just the same. :)
