Martini Cake
This was a pound cake with cream cheese filing covered in fondant. I did this cake for a bartender's birthday. I tried to make the cake match the glass, the glass says "Birthday Girl" and I don't know it you can tell but the glass is sinkin in to the cake. I did use dowels, I just don't think I use enough of them. I actually got paid for this cake even though I just wanted the practice. Besides the sinkin I am pretty proud of myself. Thanx CC for looking and for the ideas.
Practice? You have a "A" +! Sinking or not, it's a perfect cake for a bartender!
INCREDIBLE!! i want exact details on how you made this!! haha--if you dont mind. this is fabulous!!!! im jealous!!!
It was a 9" cake double layer cake that I doweled not enough come to find out, then just sat the glass on the dowels and sat the 6" cake on top . Finished it off with balls on some wire. Very simple but then again it had to be considering this was only my second cake I have ever done in my life. Thanx for the comments.
very fun!!! looks great :)
Cute and original! :D
Very cool cake. I can't even tell that the glass is sinking.
Very cute cake. You did a great job and deserved to be paid. I;m sure everyone loved it.
