In album: pond
My pond cake for course III. Thank you for all the inspiration to all of you with pond cakes in the gallery. I really wanted to do something different. The water lilies and lily pads were a nice project. All gumpaste accents. Cattails are skewers with gumpaste. Even the rocks are gumpaste. My first time making and using MMF and it worked out great.

Wow how did you do the water lilies??
angelas2babies 7/6/06 at 6:07pm
Thank you, everyone. The water lilies are made with an initial pea-sized bud that I left to dry overnight on a toothpick. I used the daisy cutters in various sizes and let them dry upside down as I stacked them on the bud. The white petals are dusted with pink chalk. Please feel free to email me for any help.
