Lorrie

Lorrie on Cake Central

First THANK YOU to all of you who helped me figure out how to prop this lid up. This was made for my sister-in-law, Lorrie. You can't see it very well in this particular picture, but the box is full of Whitman's Chocolates. It's a 2 layer 8X8 box with a 1 layer 8X8 lid.

that's a great job. I did something similar (a jewelery box)and had h... with the lid. How did you do yours?

Well after many hours of searching for help here last night, someone told me to use dowel rods. There's 2 rods in the sides, and 2 shorter ones behind those and in more from the sides than the 1st two. The tissue paper is hiding the rods. I couldn't have done it without CC that's for sure. The color of the box is actually a deep purple, but it shows here as navy and even printed out as navy. That's okay, so long as when I give it to her it's her favorite color purple and it is in person. Thanks...
