Baby Cake -Stephanie on Cake Central

I was so dissapointed in this cake! I learned that it is super important not to try to stretch your fondant (by stretch, I mean rolling it thin to make the batch go further than expected). Fortunately, it was a 'family' baby shower. The daisy cupcakes also in my pics went with this cake. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the lovely comments....She was surprised - her sister was giving the shower and asked me to bring cake squares...which I do not like to do.....I never show up w/what she asks for - LOL - but I always 'upgrade' and she always loves it.

I did actually make the 'gathers' on purpose, but by rolling the fondant so thin, it showed the imperfections in the icing on the belly underneath. gwennette - I'll send something as soon as possible. I'm actually hoping one of the pro baby belly decorators will post a tutorial soon :)

The base cake was just the large oval wilton pan (from the set); the breasts are the mini wondermold and the belly is 1/2 of the sportsball pan.
