Doug, you took the words right out of my mouth...Standard in our house is a yellow cake with chocolate icing slathered on top...HAHAHA It is an AWESOME looking cake BTW!!!!

You all have no idea how great your comments make me feel! I just decorated my first cake 3 weeks ago and feel like I'm at the bottom of the food chain as far as cake decorators go! I guess everyone is their own worst critic! Thank you, thank you!

How did you make your red so vibrant. I have used jars and jars of the coloring and it's always pink!

Hi Alickert! Americolor Super Red. I think the lighting in this photo might have made the color a little more "electric" then it really was too. But the Americolor is the way to go for red and blacks.
