I love the wings. What do you use for the gelatin mix that you dip the wings into?

1 Tablespoon Knox plain powered gelatin & 3 Tablespoons water, mix & microwave 13 sec. Have wires shaped before and stir gently to avoid bubbles. Dip wires and let dry, I stick mine into a block of styrofoam. And thanks to all for the kind compliments. Oh, after they are dry, carefully pop them out of the wires.

what holds the gelatine wings - is it wire? Or is it something edible?

I use wire to dip the gelatin wings then when dry pop them out of the wire. I attach them with meringue powder mixed with water for glue. Tinkerbell is 100% edible. The mini crown is made of pink melts with edible glitter. The windows have gelatin panes.

She is fondant/gumpaste mix with gelatin wings, you can see a close up of her in my photos.
