Construction Site Cake
My cousin asked me to do a "truck" cake for my Godson's 2nd birthday. Since I've never done a theme cake before, I wanted to do a practice cake...so this is it. (I got the idea for this cake from others on this website!) The one thing I'm going to change is the "rocks..." I'm going to use chocolate rocks/boulders that I found at a candy store, so it will look more realistic.
That looks to be a very large cake. From and artistic perspective, I see a lot of negative space that creates a bulleye effect in the middle and I wonder why there isn't something there. Perhaps you could construct a sign that indicates the child's birthday, ect. right in the middle of the cake. I love how you did the grass and the logs! It looks awesome.
