It's a beautiful cake--very original.

I must admit that when I was approached by the child's mother to create a sophistcated/contemporay dusty rose/black cake for an 11 year old, I tried to talk her into something more traditional. But, alas, she would have none of it, and so the cake was made. When I delivered the cake, it all came together. This little girl IS a sophisicated/contemporary musician that has a bedroom decorated almost like the cake. So, I am glad that I didn't insult her by suggesting a little princess cake! LOL!!!
