I made dark chocolate ganache to cover the hat and melted chocolate to make the hat brim. I used a grass tip for the fur on the bunny, and cut a cupcake in half to make the paws. The ears are gum paste. The hat is 4 8-inch chocolate cakes filled with vanilla buttercream (it's a kid's cake, after all); the bunny is vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling and "fur."
