I had a luau for my husband's birthday and I decided to give him a hula girl cake. It was a big hit! Everyone loved it. It was a fun and easy cake to make.
This cake was made from a 1/2 sheet cake pan. I simply trimmed out the figure. I used the grass tip #233 and leaf green for the color. I had some practicing to do, but the tip was very easy to work with. For the skin tone color, I used light pink with a small amount of brown. The coconut bra and lei was purchased at a Party Store for less then $5.00. This was a fun project and fast project!
