This was my first wedding cake for a friend of a friend. I also made two full sheet cakes to go along with it. It is in BC with artificial flowers. I hardly charged her anything for it. Even though it was simple it was very time consuming. Next wedding cake with be triple the price!
I didn't have a stand the week before the wedding, Luckily my mom was talking to a "retire" wedding cake decorator and she gave this one to me for free! It is a Wilton cake stand.
quick question - is the fabric attached to your cake board then shells piped on top? I love the look! I don't care for the ruffleboards..would like to use this idea.

Yes. The fabric is stapled to a cake board in pleats on top and bottom. I thought of this one myself because I don't like the ruffleboards either.
Excellent job, beautiful side decorations.
I don't know how you can say this cake is simple-maybe simply beautiful and very elegant.
Thanks for all your nice comments!
