Tiffany Lamp
I made this for the Wilton cake decorating contest. The stand is a real lamp stand, but the shade is a cake baked in a bowl and covered with fondant. the finial is fondant. I painted it with luster dust.

The lamp stand has a masonite cake circle screwed onto it. Then I just set the cake on top. Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone! Kinda eases the disappointment of not placing!

You have the best style going! May I suggest getting a different background for the photos? I found my work looked better when I did that. Awesome creativity you have.

Growing up my Grandma had the prettiest tiffany lamp sitting on her little reading table. Seeing this made me think of her! I love it! And I thought it looked just right with the background!

how many cake mixes did u put in the bowl...? how long did u cook it? was it a glass bowl? i tried a bowl yesterday but it was tiny when it came out... not sure if i cooked it long enough....
