This was my third wedding cake. It is white almond cake with buttercream icing and satin ribbon.

Very smooth icing! And I know it's hard to get good edges on a borderless cake! I like the way the dots are in a line instead of random ..... very elegant looking!

Very pretty. I have to do one like this. What kind of ribbon did you use and did you apply the ribbon after it crusts over or while it is still sticky. Thank for any help. Yours is very pretty.

My tiers were not quite 4" tall, more like 3 3/4" tall. I used the Melvira method from this site to smooth the layers. Melvira is a genius!
