Thanks to the CC's who have inspired this, I've always wanted to make one and so I finally did! choc cake with strawberry filling. Choc whipped frosting, vanilla pirouette cookies and of course chocolate dipped strawberries.

This looks so beautiful and delicious! I want to make one of these. Did you need extra icing to make the pirouttes stay on the cake?

No extra frosting, in fact a little less since I didn't need to frost pretty!

My mom loves pirouette cookies, I think this might be the cake I make for Mother's Day. It's gorgeous!
