This cake was inspired by my son's first bouquet of dandelions he gave me recently.  He very carefully put them in a coffee cup for me. I thought it was the best mother's day present ever.

    this is so sweet. Many times my little ones have brought me dandelions. I would have to throw them out when they weren't looking. Very nice work too :)

    If I recall right (it's been a while since I made this cake) I put the a piece of fondant that was about an inch taller than the cake around the cakes sideways instead of draping it over, Thank kind of pinched the excess over to forrm the lip of the cup than filled the cup with blue colored buttercream. I think you might be able to do it easier by draping a piece of fondant normally over the cake than pinch up a little extra so you have a little bowl to put the blue icing.
