Wilton Class 1 - Cake #1

Wilton Class 1 - Cake #1 on Cake Central

My boss was disturbed by the idea that I would bake a cake over the weekend, frost it in class on Tuesday, and he would eat it on Wednesday. He had no idea that people don't get up super early and bake and ice cakes on the same day! Since he was so upset, I put a big 3 on the top and wrote "days old" on the sides, to reinforce the idea that my cake was (gasp) three days old! :)

He said it was very good, but he could only imagine what it must have tasted like "fresh". He is such a goofball! :)

Such a cute idea! I swear people don't understand how much time it takes to make a cake from start to finish!! If they want to know, tell them to ask the people that live with us!! I love the colors and the overall concept is great! Geat cake!

I think your cake is nice! Actually, if you use a Duncan Hines cake mix, you can bake it one day, frost the next, and decorate on the third day. The duncan hines mixes are made to be fresher the third day than the first. I am a Witon Insturctor and I tell my students this. Trust me :)
