Engagement Party Cake

Engagement Party Cake on Cake Central

This cake was not as hard as I thought it might be, I just stress about making the people buying them happy. the 8"layer is Lemon with lemon cream cheese filling, 12" is Strawbwrry banana cake with strawberry cream filling and the 16" is chocolate with wilton canned choc. frosting in the middle. Always the favorite. It's covered in wilton fondant and wrapped with silver ribbon.

They are plastic and I got them at the cake supply shop. I'm not sure of the brand but the legs that went with them came in pieces so you could adjust the height for the height of the cake.

The cakes pretty much come out of the pans rounded. When you put on the icing coat, just leave it fairly thin, but thick enough to cover up the color of the cake underneath. The fondant will just follow the contours of the icing and cake. Good Luck, and thanks!

I can't remember how many roses I used (sorry!) I don't think I brought them around to the back, though. They were very large buds, they opened to about 4" across. I think I paid almost $80 just for the flowers
