I used the long loaf pan, BUT!, I only put one cake mix in it so it would cook better. I made two layers like that. I was going to fill it anyway. This helped a lot. The lid is just cardboard covered and realy just reating on the back edge of the cake. That was the last thing to put on. It is resting on the straws. as you can see them. Any way nothing to tricky. You can bead behind it if you feel the need I didn't. I did the ruffels the day before on the lid and let it dry real well.
