China Cup

China Cup on Cake Central

My daughter wanted something nicer for my Mom for Mother's Day because she said my hands topper was creepy. I can't paint flowers to save my life so I copied a wheat china pattern that I received from my 1st wedding...my Mom still uses it! lol

She still has and uses the china I was given for my first wedding. Now that I am remarried, I didnt want it. & all her china is extremely antique bone china so she uses mine. lol

BellaRosa I thought you did a great job on your hand topper but I do have to admit that the word "creepy" came to mind. I soooo didn't want to say that though. Would never want to hurt someones feelings! This china cup is wonderful!

rofl...yeah I loved the idea and was so proud of myself & then started playing with color palette....do NOT put that pic in antique...now that was creepy hehe It has a little plaque that I am still working on that talks about a Mother & child so hopefully wont be as creepy..but I don't see it sitting in the living room as a show piece anytime soon. lol :P

ty all for the comments. I dusted the inside of my china cup with cornstarch, rolled out the fondant and draped it in. Pat it out into form & flip over the cup. The edge cuts off the excess for you without hurting the finish. I let it sit for 3 days before I even attempted to take it out.
