In album: whimsical
I made this for a friend who just had twins (I have twins too, so I know how much she needs a cake right now!). This is chocolate transfer, which I think I am really starting to get the hang of. I just love it! The decorations come out so great! The cake is lemon with lemon mousse/raspberry filling and lemon/raspberry buttercream.

how do you do the blackline drawing in your transfers??
trombonekaren 4/12/07 at 8:04am
I use a parchment bag with a very small hole and then I "write" with it almost like a fine felt tip pen - meaning the tip of the bag touches the surface of the parchment paper where I am writing.

How did you color the chocolate transfers? It almost looks like maybe you brushed on the color? They look so pastel. Very lovely!

It is brushed in. I do the outline first, let it set, brush in the colors, then fill it all in with white so that the colors will be bright. I like the handmade look of the brushstrokes.
