Pirouline Cake
I made this cake for a BBQ get-together because piroulines are my fiance's favorite cookies. This was done a while ago so my stars still needed a bit of work. ;-) I plan to do something similar for the groom's cake for our wedding.

I was thinking of this type of thing while looking at cookies at the store, yesterday. Can you tell me how you figure out how many cookies you need?
I didn't really try to figure it out, so I just bought two canisters of cookies and hoped it would be enough! The cakes are 9" and 6" rounds and I ended up using about 1 1/2 boxes of cookies, including the couple I ATE and the few that broke (you have to cut them to the proper length).
I love this cake! They are my favorite cookies too. I may have to borrow this idea.
