Oh my goodness! I wanna be you when I grow up!! (Hey, I am only 42...come on now!) LOL!! Seriously though, I have been thinking of a Stainglass Theme for quite some time. You have inspired me to go ahead and conquer it! I will send the pics when it is done! Fabulous job Godiva!!

Jeje...I had sooo much fun...Very therapeutic...I strongly recommend royal icing for the leading though...cranking that clay machine was no joy ride!

Thanks for the compliments...Truth is, Colette Peters was the one that got me thinking about the stained glass technique...But a friend who actually does stained glass work was the inspiration...I figured you can basically do anything with sugar! This will hopefully be her specialty...I might do more just for the fun of it though ;-)

Now I want to try this again! (I did something similar in a class but it wasn't quite the glass look. It was Paddington Bear! LOL Doesn't look nearly as great as this though! :) Your cakes are simply amazing!

Beautiful work! I am looking for something to do that is different for a good friend of mine. Did you use a transfer of some sort? Did you apply the gel first, then your "lead"? I love this cake!!!
