I actually used the instructions on how to layer from cake central. Except I didn't have all the pans sizes that were asked for. I only had a 9 inch and 6 inch pans at the time. The top later is on a board tucked and wedged into the bottom layer. The bottom layer, I had to cut out a circle and scoop out to wedge the top layer. I am rambling, the decorations are way better to go by.
