Quick cake for a hospital bake sale. Six inch round white cake with strawberry bc filling. All decorations made of bc and roses have peanut butter hershey kisses for centers.
The cake never made it to the table. As soon as it was priced it was sold.:)
Love the cake! I think I may copy it for my mother's cake. Would you be so kind as to tell me more about squishing the top of your cake with a baking sheet? Do you do this after they have cooled? Am still a novice and appreciate the tip.
Learned that trick here too. As soon as the cake comes out of the oven you put a sheet of wax paper on top and then use a cookie sheet to squish the top . Makes the bump less high and less cake has to be cut off to level it. Also can be done to cupcakes to get them all even.

oops for got the royal icing violets and apple blossoms on the sides. Had them left over from Wilton course II.
Lovely! How many layers was it, it looks very tall?!
Beautiful job. The roses are awesome!
Just two layers but I bake at 325 and squish the tops with a baking sheet to get the most of my layers
You really have a way with roses!!!
