Drape Wedding Cake
I was doing a "mock" wedding reception for a youth activity, and I needed a wedding cake, so I came up with this idea. I used a cake by cakesbyjess as my guide and then tweaked it, because I wasn't nearly as good as she is. This pix is minus a cake topper. It is strawberry cake with chocolate filling on the bottom and Lemon with vanilla filling on the top. Covered in MMF. Second wedding cake - this one was much funner, because there was no expectations - and first time making drapes! I need practice
Beautiful!
Thanks, It definately isn't a "polished" looking wedding cake, but it was fun to get creative and just play. I always get a dusty look on my fondant - any suggestions?
i love everything about it
remove any excess icing sugar or what ever it is you use to roll it out on then use a cake smother to give it a polished look, great cake all the same :D
