the bottom cake collapsed during transport...90 minutes away! My husband had to hit the brakes on the highway and it was in my lap. I spent a tearfull hour in the Walmart parking lot trying to repair it!!
no...these are about 5" x 9" double-layer cakes stacked 3 high. I used 4" x 8" pieces of cardboard between the cakes for support. They shifted during transport slightly, so DO use a wooden dowel through the entire stack if you have to travel with it!!

I would have been a nervous wreck taking something like that 90 minutes in the car. It looks great. No one would know you had a problem with it.

Sorry if this is a dense question--is that three 9 x 13 cakes stacked with boards cut exactly to fit underneath? I would love to attempt this!
how do you do the bottom?
These are so perfect! Sorry for your mishap. Terrific job.
Outstanding work! The book cakes look fantastic. You should be very proud!
