I think you are being way too critical. This is a really lovely cake. The colors are very pretty..love the contrast of the two greens. Your roses are very well done and the writing looks pretty. I haven't been brave enough to try cornelli lace; I think you did a good job, especially for a first attempt.

It is nice colors! Roses and writing are better than mine. I always get the BC too soft and I hate to wait to put in fridge to get a good consistency. So, that's why mine slope sometimes. Pretty cake! :)

I think the lace looks fine. Just remember to make small s shapes every time you curve. You may be happier if you go smaller; keep them together more; but I think it looks great; and your writing is fine also
