In album: shoe
This is the second one of these that i make. The shoebox is a buttercake, layers of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry cake filled with strawberry and chocolate flavoured buttercream. The bag is a caramel mudcake. All covered in FondX. The shoe is made with gumpaste. I am happier with the shoe on this cake, as it is more to proportion, but i much prefer the handle on the first one of these I made. The logo on the bag was handpainted with gold dust and almond oil, it had DJ which is the girl's initials.

Your handbag and shoe look quite real! Can you tell me how you do the label on the shoe, in particular the writing on the label?

so cute... my friend would like a real bag like this as well as one as cake for her birthday

cute as always

The writing on the label was firstly done on Photoshop. It includes the birthday girls actual shoesize in UK, USA and Australian sizes, and the barcode has her birthdate, 21 and the date she turned 21. I printed it on paper, and then transferred it using tracing paper onto a dried piece of gumpaste, then traced it over again with a non toxic gel pen.

I only hope to ever be able to create something so beautiful!

tripletmom, the shoe was a life size, so someone with a nice cinderella type foot would have been able to fit into it, it probably would have dissintegrated soon afterwards, but it was the right size ; )
