Fall Wedding Cake
My fourth wedding cake! The bride wanted dark purple and maroon, not my favorite choice but the colors came out exactly the same as her flowers so that was great! The bottom layer is a dummy layer, but it was still very heavy. The ribbon is made out of gumpaste and the flowers are a combo of gumpaste and royal.

I was asked yesterday to make a wedding cake that would require a dummy cake, I have never done one, I plan on using buttercream frosting, but what should I do first to the dummy cake ?
