Gone Hiking
This is for a man's birthday who loves "The Great Outdoors". All I can say is "Never leave your food unattended while you go hiking". Notice the bear in the background and the ants crawling up the picnic table toward all the goodies!

VERY cute! Is the water just tinted piping gel? What are the large rocks on the front made of?
The piping gel is lightly tinted but there are several different colors of icing and rocks underneath giving it that "trout stream" look. The large rocks are candy rocks.

Thanks! I've NEVER put anything on line before. I wanted to enter this in the Earth Day contest but I found out yesterday was the last day to submitt. I won't be so uninformed next time.

This cake was made for my husband's birthday and it was awesome!! It tasted as good as it looked! Great job as usual Vicki!
They came from Country Kitchen Cake Decorating supplies, I think.
what did you use for the all the decorations? how did you do this?
To Winde, All the tents, ball, tube, boat, table, bear etc... were made of fondant. good to do while you watch T.V. you can do these all way ahead of time. Rocks and gravel were purchased from a candy store. Trees were ice cream cones and frosting. River water was tinted pioing gel. That's all I kniow to tell you. Pretty much whatever you have on hand or can get at the candy store.
