Everything's Waiting For You...downtown
This was for a chamber of commerce-like organization. The cookies are replicas of various downtown businesses. I wanted them to curve around the cake so I cooled them on the sides of cake dummies. The funniest part was the fit one business owner threw when she discovered her shop didn't have a cookie. No conspiracy, I promise you! The biggest compliment was the lady who is STILL saving her cookie. Logo is FBCT.
Love this cake!! Very cute.
This is adorable! What a great job, it looks so perfect!
What a CUTE idea!!!

Wow, great job!! I'm sure they loved it.
What a cute idea using the cookies as the buildings! Yuuumy!
Adorable cake ;-D Gadsden Alabama?
Thanks so much! I tend to make my RI pretty thin, so it'll spread easily and smoothly. I pipe a regular thickness border, then fill in with thinner RI and then sort of shake cookie flat across the counter to smooth out. After drying, detail piping with thicker RI. On those cookies, some details were food markers, so don't give me too much credit! I use the no-fail sugar cookie & RI recipe. Read that tutorial, it's excellent.
I hope you don't mind my asking but you seem very good with royal icing do you have any tips your detailing is amazing
