Did you do anything to anchor the top layers to the bottom layer? I'd be afraid to have them slip from the cake. It looks delightful by the way. I really enjoy the dimension and the texture of the accents you added.

Thanks guys!! You are to kind. I think my fondant accents need to be a bit thinner. I have a hard time with it sticking to the counter top when I get to thin. Any suggestions?

I echo all the positive comments above!!!!! Has a real sensation of slippage, would make me nervous if it was in my house!

I just have to add my 2 cents. What an absolutely fabulous cake. Dad will be more than proud to try that cake. I don't know how you keep the two top layers from slipping, but it looks great. What fun!!!!

Great cake! Regarding the fondant sticking--you can use siliconized potato starch sprinkled on either clear vinyl (buy it by the yard at craft stores) or on a SilPat. You will be able to get it much thinner without any sticking. Just be sure to continue to sprinkle surface lightly with the powder. HTH

That is such a cool cake!!! That second tier looks like it's going to slip right out. You know you've done good when everyone asks.....'How'd you do that???'!!!!!
